Use Our Sample Phone Script to Show Support for Quality Early Care and Education in ESEA:

My name is ______ and I am an older adult from _____. I'm calling to urge Rep. or Senator ________ to support crucial investments in early education in the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).The current K-12 model ignores the research on the critical importance of early learning as strong foundation for reform efforts. Voluntary quality early care and education must be viewed as an indispensable part of our education system and our most prominent federal education law, ESEA.

Without federal investment, millions of children risk starting school behind. Taxpayers will need to spend even more money down the road for remedial education, juvenile justice, and social service costs that quality early care and education prevents. Your leadership on this issue will help children now and contribute to our community's economic health for years to come. I hope you will support quality early care and education investments in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). Thank you.
