Older adult Seniors4Kids volunteer with pre-k children
Generations United's Seniors4Kids raises the voices of adults age 50 and older in support of policies affecting children and youth.
John A. Wanat

John A. Wanat is the State Coordinator for Generations United's New Jersey Seniors 4Kids. He is also the Executive Director of the SCAN Adult Education Center in Eatontown, New Jersey.

Previously, John served as the Executive Director of the Monmouth County Division on Aging,  Disabilities and Veterans Interment. His career highlights include service as  President of the New Jersey Association  of Area  Agencies on Aging, the Vice President of the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging, the first President of the New Jersey Intergenerational Network, and membership on  the Governors Council on Volunteerism. John also helped to start the New Jersey's Intergenerational School Breakfast Program.

John, who holds a masters degree in Business and Education from Seton Hall University, has served on over 34 national, state, and county committees and boards. He is a former educator and college administrator, who authored 17 textbooks, 25 monographs, over 1,000 articles. John continues to host several long-running local TV programs.

John resides in Jackson, New Jersey.
